We help our clients articulate their vision for change and establish priority goals with the resources they have - advising on next steps to reach those goals.

Health Justice Network

The New York City Health Justice Network (HJN) is a program of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that works to improve the health and well-being of persons involved in the criminal legal system by providing peer support and promoting linkages to health and social service supports to promote successful re-entry.

HJN engaged JLA to provide guidance and technical assistance on designing, establishing and implementing a community of practice for the partner agencies and core staff. JLA also serves as a technical advisor on measurement and improvement strategies, and delivers training on improvement and evaluation methods.

Coordinated Behavioral Care

A large behavioral health Independent Practice Association, Coordinated Behavioral Care (CBC) engaged JLA to develop a “Quality Improvement and Performance Management Roadmap” to embed quality improvement and implementation science principles into everyday practice.

We interviewed staff, reviewed materials, and conducted an environmental scan of the grey and peer-reviewed literature to promulgate a set of recommendations for staff to use to address quality improvement and implementation science in their jobs. We hosted two retreats with staff and provided training to support implementation of the recommendations.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America

The Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) department at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) engaged JLA to facilitate their strategic planning process.

We worked with their CQI team to clarify their current state and strategic planning objectives, examining documents capturing work-to-date, conducting interviews with select affiliates, and facilitating a strategic planning event for key staff.

Health Leads

Health Leads engaged JLA to advise on their collaborative learning strategy for spreading social needs integration in clinical settings.

We shared best practices and alternative approaches for consideration, conducted staff interviews to understand current practices, and formulated recommendations for refining their collaborative learning strategy. We facilitated a half-day workshop with leadership to delve into the recommendations and incorporated feedback into a final set of plans. We also provided improvement advising for Health Lead’s Boston Foundation Collaborative.
